10 Illegal Chinese Miners Caught in Kampong Thom

Kampong Thom: Raids on illegal mining sites ended with the arrest of 10 Chinese nationals in Sandan district, Kompong Thom province.

Kampong Thom Provincial Gendarmerie, in cooperation with local authorities, launched the operation in three locations in Sokhdom commune at 15:00 on the 11th to 14th of March. 2019.

The 10 Chinese nationals are being held for questioning and a large amount of equipment, including tools, machines and generators have been taken as evidence.
