Man Injured by Landmine in Oddar Meanchey

Oddar Meanchey Province: A man hunting for wild animals was seriously injured after he stepped on a mine in the early hours of March 13, 2019.

The incident happened at the Dangreare Puy Tirun mountain range in the east of Dang Tung village, Sambor district, Samrong district, Oddar Meanchey province.

The victim, a 28-year-old was taken to Oddar Meanchey Provincal hospital. It was reported that the victim had left home about 7 pm, when, sometime later news came to his family about the accident and they went out to rescue him.

Police said that wildlife hunting was a crime and warn the public not to go into the forest.
