Gunfight Shocks Monks in PP Pagoda
Phnom Penh: Gunshots were fired in Wat Russey Thmey, in Niroth commune, Chbar Ampov commune at 9:20 pm March 12, 2019 causing monks and nuns to panic.
According to a monk, five people on three motorbikes, entered through the western gateway. At least one gun was pulled out, two shots fired and a unspent bullet dropped on the floor.
According to the source, after the attack and gunfire, the five then rode away. Nobody was reported as injured from the shooting.
Military police are now investigating the case and searching for the motive behind the shooting.
