Chinese Beach Casino Shuttered on Koh Rong Somloem

(Preah Sihanouk): Preah Sihanouk provincal authorities have decided to close a Chinese casino, hotel and club on Koh Rong Samloem, which has been making excessive noise and disturbances.

“Jinding” entertainment center was visited on March 12, 2019 and was shut for a variety of reasons:

There is sanitation system for sewage and dirty water.

The casino has been built on the beach too close to the sea.

A generator on the dock has caused the oil to leak into the ocean.

Loudspeakers play every night and bright lights from the casino cause disruptions to residents and visitors places..

The governor of Sihanoukville, in cooperation with Koh Rong Samloem Authority, had previously instructed the casino owners to dismantle the site and move away from the coast, but they did not comply.
