The increase in Indian tuk-tuk operators in Phnom Penh have seen critics strongly condemn the fact that most three-wheeler drivers are less aware of traffic laws.
The Phnom Penh Municipal Administration opened a training course for tuk-tuk drivers to understand the traffic laws and obtain a required driver’s license.
On March 5, 2019, Phnom Penh Department of Public Works and Transport said that after the completion of training, 11 people have a driving license. More drivers will have to take a driving license, so in the future, there will “be no more anarchism on the road”.
