Accused American Danny Lee Pope in Court
Phnom Penh: On the morning of March 5, 2019, an American was sent to court over a Human Trafficking and Minor Protection case file submitted to Phnom Penh Municipal Court.
The suspect is 60-year-old DANNY LEE POPE, originally of Statesville, North Carolina, USA. He was detained at a massage shop in Porsenchey district on March 2.
The suspect is currently being held at the Court of First Instance. A decision on pre-trial detention is expected later.
The arrest came after the guardian of one of the victims filed a complaint. 5 females, including 3 children were sent to the Department of Social Affairs.
