Brothel Raided in Takhmao

Kandal: A guesthouse named “Sok Visal” in Takhmao City was raided by provincial and Anti-human Trafficking Police.

Six women, including one minor, were found in the property, reportedly working as sex workers.

The crackdown took place at 9:30 pm on February 28, 2019 on Street 110B, in Thma Thmei 2, Sakaeh Takhmao, Takhmao City, Kandal Province.

A police officer of the Kompong Chhnang Office said the owner of the business, named Touch Chhan, a 35-year-old male was detained.

The source said that the suspect was being questioned by the Kandal provincial police commission to build a case file for court.

The six female victims were taken to the provincial specialized office and were also supported by an NGO.
