Drunk Military Officer Fires Gun in KTV

Phnom Penh: A drunk soldier fired off shots while out drinking. The incident occurred at “Party”KTV, located in Trapeang Lau village, Kabakibat district, 1 Por Sen Chey in the early hours of 28th February, 2019.

The suspect, Ye Sovann, a 40-year-old military officer at the deputy chief of staff, got into an argument with the unnamed victim before the gunfire. Nobody was reported injured.

After the incident, the victim filed a complaint to police to prepare a case in Posenchey district. Rasmei News

EDIT: A later reports say that the shooter, a 40 year old soldier, accidentally shot himself in the hand during, or shortly after the incident and is now being questioned..
