Trafficked Bride Returns To SR After Escape From China
Siem Reap:Feb 23: A 22 year old human trafficking victim arrived in Siem Reap International Airport on flight LQ911 (CSX-REP), coming from Changsha, China. The lady was trafficked out of Cambodia through the Bavet border into Vietnam and then into China in 2017. She managed to escape from her abusive Chinese husband, who bought her from a Cambodian broker. The Khmer broker is now in custody. She declared that she was also forced to work in China. The International Peace Corps together with Cambodian police are providing the victim with the necessary assistance.
