Chinese and Thais Detained for Sex Trafficking
Sihanoukville: Police raided Chinese-owned businesses on Tuesday, February 21, 2019, in Village 01, Sangkat No.2, Preah Sihanouk City.
38 suspects were detained, including 23 Chinese (11 men) and 15 Thai women.
The raids on three Chinese-owned sex trafficking sites, found evidence of human trafficking crimes, including used condoms.
According to the police, they are investigating and sending the suspects to the provincial court, although the mastermind behind the operation is believed to still be at large. SOURCE
