Frenchman Dies of Cancer in Siem Reap

Siem Reap: A foreigner died of lung cancer: The police force of Siem Reap province Immigration Bureau received information that a foreigner died on Feb. 20, 2019.

Police said that the victim, PIERRE LEON MAURICE GUBRI , a 85-year-old French retired man, died in his room in Svay Dangkum Commune, Siem Reap.

According to Mao Srey, a 52-year-old Khmer who was with him, the victim had been unable to walk for a long time, lying on the bed and about 16:00 on February 19, 2019, his condition worsened and he died at about 21:30 on the same day.

Based on the findings of the competent authorities and the court’s medical team, it was concluded that the victim died of lung cancer. Currently, the bodies of the victims are temporarily transferred to Royal Angkor Hospital awaiting the family.
