Chinese Man Arrested for Rock Throwing

Phnom Penh: Chinese man was arrested after he took a rock to smash a car window at about 9:30 pm on February 13, 2019, on Angkor Thom Street, 1019 Bayayab Village, Sangkat Phnom Penh Thmey, Khan Sen Sok.

Police said the suspect was XU B0, a 35-year-old male, employed as a factory worker on Veng Sreng Street, Trapaing Thloeung, Chom Chao 3, Khan Por Senchey. 

The victim was named as Sophea Sothearath, female, 27 years old, working for clothes, living in No. 3, Concrete Road, Thmey Thmey, Sangkat Kouk Pharng, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

The victim said that before the incident, she had driven the suspect from the factory on Veng Sreng Road. The suspect and victims had an argument, so she drove the suspect back to the factory.

When they arrived at the scene, the suspect took a stone and smashed the right side window.

A passing police patrol then took the suspect for questioning at the Police Inspectorate in Khan Sen Sok.

Currently, the suspect is detained at the Sen Sok Police Inspectorate to follow the procedure.

Update: Another outlet reports that the couple were in a relationship for just 12 days, and both had been drinking, which is what caused the argument.
