Korean Overstayer Caught

On February 13, 2019, at 17:20, the Office of Investigation and Implementation of the Immigration Department of the Phnom Penh Police Office received a foreign national, CHOI JIYOON, 46, a Korean national, from the police force of Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

The Korean was detained for staying without a passport or visa.

After being questioned, it was established that he came to Cambodia in 2012 via Phnom Penh International Airport to conduct business.

As he cannot pay his overstay fine, he was detained and sent to the General Department of Immigration to carry out proceedings of the law.
