Thief Arrested After Street Robbery on Chinese Man

Phnom Penh: A suspect was detained by the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) after he had taken a bag from a foreigner at 2:00 pm on February 1, 2019, along Preah Sihanouk Road, Sangkat Tonle Basac, Khan Chamkar Morn, Phnom Penh.

The suspect was named as Va Makar, male, 19 years old.

The victim, LI JIARONG, a 33-year-old Chinese national is staying at NagaWorld Hotel.

The suspect was caught with the victim’s bag containing ID, $400 and an iPhone. These were later handed back to the victim.

The suspects was sent to the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Royal Gendarmerie of Phnom Penh for further action. https://postnews.com.kh/local/410763
