“My Mother Sold Me” Producer Loses Bail Appeal

The Appeals Court decided to continue detaining Mr. Rath Rott Mony until the lower court ruled on the case. The decision was made on the morning of January 31, 2019.

Rath Rott Mony was imprisoned in Prey Sar after being extradited from Thailand for his involvement in a Russia Today documentary “My Mother Sold Me”, which has been branded as fake news by authorities.

Repeated requests for assistance from the Russian embassy have so far been ignored.
