Strange Man Rescued After 10 Days in Sewer

Phnom Penh: There was quite a surprise at 8 pm on 9 January 2019 in front of Svay Rieng Road, Preah Monireth, Sangkat Tumnup Teuk, Khan Chamkar Morn, after a man was found in the sewers, where he’d been for several days.

People said that before the incident, they were riding a motorbike across the street, suddenly heard an unidentified voice ring out from the sewer and hands reaching out. The witness stopped and looked into the sewer, and he saw that man was hiding in there. More people came to assist, and the sewer was opened and the man came out.

After getting out of the sewer, the man said that he had been in the sewers for 10 days, and every time he was hungry. Afterwards, he was sent to the hospital for a night’s stay.
