Trash Builds Up in Battambang Province
Battambang: Moung Russey district is becoming a garbage cemetery, with authorities unable or unwilling to deal with it.
Rubbish is building up like mountains, and people who are dumping it in are the main problem.
A source from Moung Russey district, said garbage was found everywhere including the pagoda, school fences, street lanes, main roads, bridges, streams, and market. Around Moung Russey Referral Hospital, there is a smell of rotting.
Citizens have appealed to the new district governor to help to solve the problem of waste from the town, especially around the schools, hospital, and riverbanks.
