Phnom Penh): At least 1,761 people were killed and 4,770 injured in road accidents in Cambodia in 2018.
These figures are according to official reports of the Traffic Police Department and the Public Order of the National Police Commission, which have been published by Fresh News on January 2.
The report says that in 2018 there were 3267 accidents, down 7 percent from 2017. The death toll was down 1 percent, while the number of injuries dropped 14 percent. Through this figure, on average about five people die in traffic accidents every day. Fresh News
