Battambang: Police said a traffic accident caused many pigs to die and wounded many more, but no people were hurt.
The incident happened at 5:30 am on January 1, 2019 on National Road 5 in Plo Pha Le village, Ou Ta Kha commune, Thmor Kol district, Battambang province.
Authorities said a truck driving north hit a truck transporting live pigs coming from the south, causing the pig truck to overturn.
After the accident, the two drivers both escaped and disappeared, leaving the cargo of swine behind.
