15(ish) Chinese Arrested For Extortion

Phnom Penh: According to preliminary reports, the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Russei Keo and Chamkarmon police, detained about 10-15 Chinese nationals suspected of extortion.

The arrests took place on the afternoon of December 23, 2018 in Toul Sangke II district, Russey Keo district, Phnom Penh. 

The Chinese suspects were sent to a specialized office for questioning. The case seems to be centered around a Chinese man who has a Cambodian wife and was kidnapped.
