55 Chinese and Malaysians Arrested in Poipet

Banteay Meanchey: An operation against an illegal business took place on the afternoon of December 11, 2018, Samaki Meanchey Village, and Prey Pring Village,  Poipet City.

Inspection of the site (the business name or operation isn’t yet clear, likely something online) led to the detention of 55 foreign nationals including Chinese and Malaysians.

They were arrested for not having passports/visa or working permits properly updated. They were sent to the provincial police commission to take legal action.
