Woman Arrested in Malaysian Human Trafficking Case
Phnom Penh: Poe Moeun, 31, a woman from Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district, and a former employee of a company that sent migrant workers to Malaysia, has been detained by the court on December 8,
She is accused of trafficking around 30 women illegally after a complaint from a 27-year-old girl who lived in Chek Prang commune, Chet Borei district, in Kratie.
She claims she was misled over her work in Malaysia and says she was a slave after leaving Cambodia in 2014.
