British Teacher Sent to Prey Sar Prison
( Phnom Penh): Investigating Judge of the Phnom Penh Court of First Instance, Thane Leng, has ordered the pre-trial detention of suspect STEPHEN JOHN LORYMAN , a 57-year-old male English teacher in Prey Sar prison on 30 November 2018.
The judge’s decision came after the prosecutor, Kol Bonn, completed the investigation and laid charges of sexual assault of minors under the age of 15 under Article 43 of the Law on the Suppression of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation.
The British teacher was staying at Lot 19, Taing Ngov Village, Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, where he was found with four young boys after complaints.
