Traffic Deaths Down This Water festival

Phnom Penh: Police reports say that 38 road accidents across the country during the three-day water festival from November 21-23, 2018, killed 16 people (9 less compared to 2017), 38 seriously injured, 22 minor injuries.

8 deaths were reported on November 23, the final day of the festival.

The accidents involved at least 40 motorbikes, 15 cars, 9 large vehicles and 3 other types of transport.

In the 23 days from November 1 to November 23, 2018, there were 212 recorded accidents, causing 103 deaths, 192 serious and 136 minor injuries.
