$150 Resolves Drunk Driving Accident

Phnom Penh: An accident took place at 10:30 pm on November 12, 2018, along Street 261 in Teuk Laak I commune, Toul Kork.

According to the source, a Toyota “Phnom Penh 2AU-8917″, was being driven by a man, reportedly drunk, when it hit a man who was walking across the road.

An ambulance took the victim to hospital. After the accident, the vehicle owner went to the hospital to see the victim.

Local authorities allowed the two sides to reconcile without the law getting involved, with a compensation of $150 to the victim resolving the matter.
