Sen Sok Baby Farm Raided
PHNOM PENH, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) – Anti-human Trafficking and Minor Protection Office of the Phnom Penh Police Commissariat, raided a site in Sen Sok district on November 8.
15 people were arrested over charges of illegal surrogacy.
According to the sources, 11 of 13 women detained are pregnant.
It has not been confirmed whether the surrogacy was for foreigners, as has been the case in the past, but police are questioning those involved to prepare a court case.
It should be noted that surrogacy has been made illegal in Cambodia.
