Boy Shoots Himself With Spear Gun
Koh Tao: On October 30, 2018, a boy fishing with a spear gun died in Sre Ambel district, Koh Kong province. The victim was identified as Sieng An, a 13-year-old male from the village.
The victim’s parents said that their son was diving, but he did not see the fish. Going down again, something went wrong with the gun and he managed to shoot himself in the abdomen.
The Police Inspectorate of Sala Sala Police Station gave a forensic examination. It was confirmed that the victim had died of wounds caused by his own fishing operation. Then the dead body was handed over to the guardians for the traditional festivals.
