French Tourist Dies in Siem Reap

Siem Reap:  A 74-year-old French tourist, RENE LUCIEN MARCHAND, died of a stroke at The Royal Angkor Hospital, Siem Reap, on 24 October 2018.

According to the victim’s wife, GERMAINE ROBERTS, she and her husband arrived in Cambodia through Siem Reap Airport and stayed at the Angkor Holiday Hotel. On October 23, 2018, her husband became unconscious, so he was sent to the Royal Angkor hospital. He passed away the next day at 8:30am.

The autopsy team of Siem Reap court determined that the victim died of a stroke. The body was kept at The Royal Angkor Hospital, awaiting the approval document from the French Embassy to release the body.
