Man Killed in Wild Boar Attack

Koh Kong: At 7:10 am on October 24, 2018, a man was killed near the village of Kandal, Taing Leu commune, Thmor Bang district, Koh Kong province.

The victim, Srun Chea, 47, was a farmer.

Police said that the victim was working in a rice field with his daughter when the wild boar appeared and charged at them. The victim was hit by the animal and died, while the daughter ran to safety.

After a forensic examination, the victim was handed over to the family for the traditional festivals.

It should be noted as human activity encroaches on the natural environment, interactions between man and beast are becoming more common, and more dangerous.
