According to construction workers, they haven’t been paid for two months, and have had to borrow money just to eat. Workers are  between owed between 1 million and 2 million riels, which was promised by the company before the Pchum Ben holiday.

As of October 5, the day of payment, the management company did not pay any money. So workers blocked the road to demand their wages. According to the information, that afternoon, the authorities also went down to facilitate reconciliation and the company then agreed to pay workers.

However, it is not known why the big condo company wouldn’t pay, and a reporter from Kohsantepheap, did not receive any clarification from the company or the owner of the building.
