Electricity of Cambodia (EDC) will suspend supply of electricity in some areas from October 4 to October 6, 2018, to carry out repairs, replacements, and installation of equipment and dismantling the transmission lines to accommodate the expansion of Cambodia’s electricity lines.
According to an an announcement from Electricite du Cambodge (EDC) issued on October 2, 2018, the location of electricity supply disruptions are as follows:
1. On October 4, 2018, from 9:00 to 17:00, the electricity supply will be suspended. (1) The 304 light area is located in the Tonle Bassac Dam, Khan Chamkar Morn (Chaknam Krom Sub Branch), (2) The Pk 340 area is located in Sangkat Monorom, Khan 7 Makara (Wat Phnom district), (3) P776, P1222 located in Phnom Penh Thmei district, Khan Sen Sok (Ouab Khourk district) (4) In the neighborhood of Por Sen Chey district and (5) in the neighborhood Sbov Ampov district’s Prek Eng, Phnom Penh (Angre).
2. Friday, October 5, 2018, from 9:00 to 12:00, will suspend the electricity supply. (1) The 561 Light Area is located in Veal Vong commune, Khan 7 Makara (Wat Phnom district); and (3) Some of the fire areas are located in Chak Angrek Commune, Chak Angrerey District, Khan Mean Chey, Phnom Penh, Srok Amen in Takhmao City, Kandal Province (Chak Angge Kro).
3. And Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 9:00 to 17:00, will suspend power supply at some of the fire areas, which are in Phnom Penh Thmei, Kouk Heang commune, Sen Sok district, Phnom Penh (OBKKOAM branch).
