Stung Treng: The road between Stung Treng and the Laos border at Stung Trent, National Road No.7, has been made almost impassable. Overweight heavy transporters have ruined the road surface and made travel very difficult. The worst areas are around Siem Pang district and Steung Treng town.
Residents of Siem Pang, say that the road is very difficult to travel. Taxi fares have risen from 15,000 now to 30. 000 Riels and are asking authorities to help repair or build a new road.
The Ministry of Rural Development, along with the army has studied the problem, and promise the 50km stretch of highway will by fixed before the end of the dry season.
