Phnom Penh: A man holding a knife robbed an internet cafe (doubling up as an online gambling den) of $3000 after losing $1,200 fluttering on the virtual gee-gees.
The incident happened at 9:25 am on September 26, 2018, at the 24-hour Interneton Street 276, Street 113, Boeung Keng Kang II, Khan Chamkamorn, Phnom Penh.
According to the source, the victim, Rong Kim Leang, 29, who worksas a staff member at the site a man came to the business and lost $ 1,200, and returned home. Soon after, the man returned and took out a knife and stuck it under the victim’s chin. Fearful for her life, she handed over the keys to the cash, and the man made off with more than $ 3,000.
The victim filed a complaint with the police, who quickly pointed out that the illicit bookies was unlicensed and closed the premises.
While police hunt the robber, those who were robbed were taken to Boeung Keng Kang Police Station to be investigated.
