100kg Croc Caught in Pursat

Pursat: A fisherman in Veal Veng district caught 100 kilogram crocodile, and was understandably shocked early on September 25, 2018 in Kandal Village, Thmor Da Commune, Veal Veng District, Pursat Province.

A fisherman named Moeun Mim said that on September 24, 2018, he went to set fish traps  in the Mekong River Sanctuary, and returned home. In the morning, he went to check his nets  and found a large crocodile weighing about 100 kilograms .

The fishermen reported the find to the authorities to intervene. The fisherman also said he had never seen the crocodile before, but was told there used to be some in the past.

The crocodile was taken to the border gate of 825. There is no indication yet whether the crocodile is from the wild or has escaped or been released from a farm.

However, citizens are warned to be careful.
