Shame! Thief Beats Up Little Old Lady

Kompong Cham Province: An elderly woman lost her savings of 400,000r (about US $100) causing her to be angry and to look for the thief.  When she had found the suspect, he punched her in the eye seriously injuring her .

The brutal violence occurred at 6 pm on September 17, 2018, at Hann Chey village, Hann Chey commune, Kampong Siem district. At 2:30 pm on September 18, 2018, police found and detained the perpetrator.

The victim was identified as Thoeun, 87, and elderly lady living in the village. The perpetrator  was identified as 33-year-old Vorn Vong, from the village.

According to authorities, at about 2 pm on September 18, 2018, the Han Chey Administration Police received a complaint from Ms. Chea Thoeun, describing that before the incident at 6 pm on Monday, September 2018, she was in her house, and then she went to her bag and found her money gone.

When she accused a neighboring villager of stealing from, he hit him with his hand on her face, causing a black eye.
