Randy Monk Defrocked

The chief monk of Kompong Kdol pagaoda in Phnom Penh was arrested by cops are being found sneaking around in civilian clothes after ditching his robes.

At about 2:30 am on September 18, 2018, the 36-year-old cleric Miao Chivann/Meach Sovann, was found prowling around outside the wat. The monk, who has long been linked with rumors of a lover, allegedly wore civilian threads so he could go undercover to his girlfriend’s house.

A closed door meeting was held this morning, and the monk is expected to be defrocked and face possible criminal charges.
