Accused Sorcerer Murdered in Kampong Spue

Kompong Speu: A man who believed a sorcerer had put a black magic curse on him has been arrested for murder. The victim, Hem Yim, a 66-year-old male was killed by three hacks to the neck outside his home in Boeung Pring Village Treng Trayeng Commune, Phnom Sruoch District, Kampong Speu Province .

The murder incident occurred on September 14, 2018.

The suspect, a man from the same village, escaped to the forest behind the house and was found by the family and taken to the commune police station at Treng Trayeng.

The reason given for the slaying is that the victim was guilty of sorcery. Currently, the suspect has been sent to the municipal police inspectorate of Phnom Sruoch.
