Man Burns Down Parent’s House After Loan Refusal
Kampong Chhnang: A fire engulfed a house at 3:30 pm on September 11, 2018.
The arsonist was identified as 29-year-old Leang Chhor, from Sroeung commune, Khoun Roam district, Kampong Chhnang province. The house belonged to his parents, Prum Samnang, 56, and 64-year-old Leang Han.
Before the incident, the suspects asked for a land title from the mother, so he could get a loan to buy a new motorbike. When she refused he became angry and set the simple 5x4m bamboo house on fire, destroying it completely.
Currently, the suspect is in police custody and awaiting legal action.
