Rice Exports Drop 8.9% in 2018

(Phnom Penh): The OWSO official report for rice exports, obtained by Fresh News on September 7, 2018, states that for the first eight months (January to August) of 2018, Cambodia shipped 341,638 tons of rice, down 8.9 percent from the same period last year (372,190 tons).

In 2017, Cambodia has exported more than 600,000 tonnes of rice to foreign markets. The country that buys most rice from Cambodia is China. China has provided a 300,000 tons of rice quota per year to Cambodia.
