500 Workers Stopped From Reaching National Assembly

Phnom Penh: More than 500 workers gathered on the morning of September 7, 2018 along National Road No. 4 in an attempt to march to the National Assembly. They were demanding a solution after a factory closure left them without the correct benefits.

According to the workers, after the factory relocated and the directors left for China,  the company has not paid compensation to some 2500 workers yet.

The procession of more than 500 workers was approved by  Por Sen Chey district from 9th district. but was prevented from reaching the national assembly by police.
